Pin Tumbler Locks

Pin tumbler locks are the most common type of lock used in residential doors.

They consist of a series of spring-loaded pins of different lengths that need to be aligned correctly for the lock to open.

When the correct key is inserted, the pins align at the shear line, allowing the plug to rotate and the lock to open.
