How to Get Set Up in Minutes

Setting up your Sir Lockalot account is easy and designed to give you full control of your storage journey from your phone, tablet, or computer. Here's a complete walkthrough to guide you from sign-up to check-in, so you know exactly what to expect and how to move forward with confidence.

1. Create Your Account

Start by visiting /register to create your free Sir Lockalot account. You’ll be asked to provide the following personal information:

• Full Name (as it appears on your ID)
• Email Address (used for communication and receipts)
• Phone Number (used for unit verification, alerts, and support)
• Billing Address (for identity verification and payment processing)
• A secure password (we recommend using a password manager)

Once completed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to verify your account. After email confirmation, you’ll be automatically logged in and taken to your personalized dashboard.

2. Navigate to Your Dashboard

From your browser, go to /dashboard. Here you’ll find:

• Your user profile, billing information, and preferences
• Current storage unit reservations (if any)
• Buttons to search for and select new units
• Notifications, messages, and support tickets

This dashboard is your central hub — everything you need to manage your storage life is right here.

3. Choose Your Facility & Unit

Click on /facilities to browse our available storage locations. We recommend choosing a facility close to your home, work, or travel routes. Each location page includes:

• Address and directions
• Photos of the property and units
• Unit types available (standard, climate-controlled, powered, oversized)
• Pricing and special offers

Once you’ve selected a facility, you can browse available units and filter by size, type, and amenities. Click “Reserve” or “Add to Cart” once you’ve found the unit that fits your needs.

4. Complete Your Purchase

After selecting your unit, go to /cart to review your order. The cart will show:

• Facility location and address
• Unit size and amenities (e.g., climate control, power, oversized)
• Monthly price and total due today (including taxes and fees)

Click “Checkout” to proceed with payment via PayPal. Once payment is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

5. Access Your Units

After your purchase is complete, head to /my-units. This page is your command center for all unit access. Here you can:

• View the address and map for each unit you’ve rented
• Find your gate access codes and digital lock combinations
• See rental start/end dates and renewal options
• View billing history and rental start dates

If you’ve rented a powered unit, you’ll also find instructions for power use, breaker resets, and emergency contact info. If your unit is climate-controlled or located indoors, there may be additional codes for building access — all clearly labeled and mobile-friendly.

6. Visit & Store With Confidence

You’re ready to go. Load up your vehicle, drive to your facility, and follow the gate instructions provided in your unit summary. Upon arrival, you can expect:

• Secure keypad or app-controlled entry gates
• Clear signage to locate your unit quickly
• Motion-sensor lighting for early morning or nighttime visits
• Helpful on-site staff during business hours
